House prices in Hertfordshire have risen for a third month this year, proving that, despite scepticism, the property market is continuously stabilising. The annual rate of house price growth has increased from 1.5% in June to an impressive 2.1% in July, the fastest rate since December 2022.
According to The Building Society, the average UK house price in July was £266,334, a 0.3% increase on the previous month. As property prices continue to surge, so too does the rise in the
number of new listings hitting the market. Comparably to this time last year, the average estate agent has 16% more homes for sale, the highest at any point over the last six years.
